I am a visual artist working in collage, assemblage sculpture and altered books. My practice explores identity, memory and the history of the African diaspora. Vintage and contemporary images collide to convey how the past informs the present.

Winter break

Winter break is coming. I can almost see Christmas from here!

At our house we celebrate two winter holidays; this year, one happens right in the middle of the other. So since it’s going to be a busy end to a busy year, I’m taking a two-week break from blogging. I’ll be back in January, just in time to remind you of my next exhibit down in Portland, Oregon.

Happy holidays, and I’ll see you in 2020.

We interrupt this winter break with a special message

Why see a show that leaves you hanging?
